2 tasks accomplished today. #1 was to shim th epilot outboard seat rails. just like to co-pilot the outboard seat rails are not level, which causes some bending when they are screwed tight. so I shimmed the aft end of the outboard with 2 pieces of 2024. the 1st was .062, and the 2nd was 0.40. this seems to be just right, and the seat now slides easily throug its range of motion. I next reinstalled the map box lis on the center console, and then reinstalled the center console on top of the tunnel. I hooked up all of the connections, after making ytr another painful excursion upside down underneath the panel $#$!$#~!!!!!. I found I had 2 problems.
1. The top of the mounting plate was hitting the bottom of the instrument panel.
2. The Pitch trim led indicator lights weren't working.
Removed the mounting panels and it's electronics, and used the vixen file to remove aproc 1/16" from the top of the panel. refit w/o attachemnts to verify it was enough. the Les lights were a different story, while test fitting the panel, I noticed that when pushing on the lights I momentarily as able to get some indication. So i removed pins from the dsub and recrimped each pin to ensure a good connections, ther I removed the indicators from the panel, and disassembled it. I found that the wires/cable were bunched inside of the housing, I straightened the wires and reassembled the led box, and reinstalled, with the led's now working.
