I decided to remount the fuel flow sensor when I saw the oil cooler mount from Showplanes. I really didnt like how the adel clamps really didnt hold the fuel flow sensor very securely I purchased some 4130 chromium-molybdenum seamless tubing 1.125 OD .995 ID seamless tubing which I cut to .750" long and welded two .750" long pieces of 3/8 x .083 wall 4130 then cut them in two to form 2 clamshell pieces. I found some neoprene "C" channel at Brown Aircraft. I modified the "C" channel by slicing off the edge. I welded a mounting plate to the clamshells I placed some firesleeve ontop of the mount and then put the fuel flow sensor on that and bolted it to the mount. This allows me to wrap the fuel flow sensor in firewall sleeving. Im going to add a adel clamp to support the wires that run directly past the mount.
