I have been redesigning the interface between the oil cooler plennum and the engine cowling. I wasnt really happy with the way it was going to work out doing it the way Showplanes designed it. For my re-design I made up a flange out of .032 2024T3. I formed it so that I could add a neoprene rubber interface between the flange and the fiberglass. I cut the fiberglass back about 1 inch from the baffle to provide lots of clearance between the flange and the fiberglass plennum. I have to say the Showplanes design is terrific and the fact that it was so easy for me to make the modifications I wanted.
