I put 10 gallons in the aux tank and used the pump to transfer gas to the main tank. One reason is I've heard of a lot debris in fuel lines and I want to run a few tanks through to try to minimize that. Two was to check for leaks and see how long it takes to transfer. No leaks in the main lines, but the 1/4" tubing for the site guages leaked a little. After tightening them they still seemed to sweat just a little big. I will remake those 1/4" lines and try for a little cleaner flares. I realized later that if I lube with oil while flaring I gue MUCH nicer tubing flares. I also began to look at the wiring I have for the wingtip lights and to make a plan for what I need there.
