I worked on the fairlead idea for a bit. I think the snap ring idea will work out well. A little trial and error though. 1. Cut the fairlead in half first rather than after adding grooves. 2. Will try cutting a groove instead of burning when I get more fairleads to complete this. There are 3 ribs the cable passes through that needs this protection (or doesn't, but I'll do it just in case....while I can.) Also installed stiffeners in two ribs that I think needed it due to cutting out for clearence.
