Brief Description: Easy day. Worked on a fairlead and went flying
Not too much today. My body hurts from all the yoga. (Bending over the wing and holding a position to work on it. :) I've not been happy with the aileron cable passing through the wing. I've seen other guys put home depot black plastic snap rings in the holes and it just doesn't seem secure enough. I saw an idea a guy had to use a snap ring in a fairlead and it have me the idea to use it here. I marked the fairlead and will try to cut them down and add a groove for the snap ring. They are too long and waddle around too much. And then I went flying! This is my Excalibur 2 place. It's what got me addicted to flying again and made me look for a bigger plane to carry my wife and 10 year old at the same time. Thus the Bearhawk. I think the Bearhawk will be the perfect plane for my family cross countries AND HUNTING TRIPS TO FAR OUT PLACES!
