Brief Description: Cleaned out the wings, re-welded 2nd float fitting
I decided close wasn't good enough on the float fitting, so I ground it off to re-weld it. 2nd weld, inspected again, and now it's crooked!! Uggh! One more time. This time I did one tack weld at a time, then took it all apart, looked at the alignment, and then put it back together for a 2nd tac. 3rd time's a charm. I'm happy with it now. I'm going to have a pro friend of mine weld it for me since this is a highly structural part of the plane. I honestly think I'm good enough now, but best not to test that theory. Then on to cleaning out the wing. I scrubbed and scrubbed and vacuumed the inside of the wing until it looks almost new. I also opened the remaining access panels on the completed wing to study the target. Ready to start on a wing tommorrow! I also read the wing building manual for about 3 hours.
