Brief Description:  First Flight

Today was the day, didn't know it till I felt the urge and after watching Russ in his first flight in his 7.
The take off and flight went smooth, climbed to 8K and circled the airport and read back all engine and flight data to Les and Paul on the ground. All data looked good but did have a heavy left wing which I'll trouble shoot on the next flight. Landing also went fine, a few bounce's but kept it on the runway. While taxing I noticed it wasn't traking as well as it had and when I got back, I told the guys and they found I had put the tail spring bracket on backwards (from the time I took it off to tightened the springs). It's a wonder it didn't ground loop on me. I flew it with the wheel pants off so when I get them finished it shoud give me another 6 KT's air speed. In level flight @ 8K I indicated 138 KTS (158 MPH IAS and 186MPH TAS @ 8,000' and 2700 RPM)
