Brief Description:  Engine run up

We arrived at a small airport about 35 miles west on 114, which was on our way home after checking out of the hotel. The run up area was at the end of the run way and we met Darrell there. He had everything hooked up an ready to go so Linda and I got in side the room in back of the engine. All the sensors and data are recorded on a data card which will be taken in, printed out and sent to me with the engine. The control panel displays all engine data in analog and bar charts on the screen. They have a fire in the hole buzzer that sounds off when the engine is started so it was fun watching it fire up for the first time. Things never go as planned, the carburator had the wrong flow tolerance so he said he would have to get a new one to pass and said he had a couple of others with the same problem but wouldn't be able to finish the test but would do a full throttle for me after we shut down and checked for leaks, etc, After no problems were found. We started back up for a full throttle test. It went up to 182 HP with all pressure, temp, MP,oil readings in tolerance except for the fuel problem, so since we had a big return trip on a very hot day and he had a few hours of work to do on the engine, We bid him farewell and good luck and started home having observed my engine run for the first since I ( with Evan's help and always saying DON"T DO THAT! DO IT LIKE THIS) put this baby together. Well life is good and we made it home
