Today I prepped and primed the parts for the elevator (again, minus the trim tab).
I'm going to wait until tomorrow to begin assembly. I want to ensure that the primer has enough hardening time.
To wrap up the year, I feel very good about the progress. I'm shocked, actually. I can't believe how much I've accomplished in what seems like a very short time.
I believe that I will easily finish the empennage kit before mid-2012. The only problem I foresee in the next step is cost. Getting the empennage done hasn't been that expensive, but the wings and fuselage are going to be more expensive. Anyway...we'll burn that bridge when we get to it.
