Brief Description:  Started Construction on the Horizontal Stabilizer

This afternoon, while still waiting on the rudder trailing edge to cure, I pulled the first parts for the horizontal stabilizer and began.

When I do the internal parts, I go ahead and pull all the protective covering off (I do want to minimize scratches, but it's a lot easier to pull the coating off at the very beginning).

The interesting thing about the horizontal stabilizer instructions is that you have to begin assembly immediately. As such (and you'll see this in the first photo), I'm only priming the contact surfaces right now. As I continue, I'll need to go back and do some additional priming of the parts.

--------

As a side note, the next step is going to involve cutting some serious aluminum angle. I know that I'm terrible with straight lines with a hack saw. A mitre box might help, but I'm not sure. I may have to see about finally getting a band saw...

Center bearing...no priming, so right to final assembly.
