Brief Description:  Sump connection, Cooler Hood Fasteners, Side Shro

I’m now starting the hose connections beginning with the large collector for the oil sump. In addition, I sealed off the other ports so I don’t inadvertently get metal shavings in the sump.

In the second photo, it’s a little difficult to see the brackets but I made two brackets that mount on the frame with adel clamps, and then have nut plates on the other side of the bracket to attach the cooler hood. This allows the hood to be easily removed with six screws and little trouble. It’s a good fit and a strong design.

The last photo shows that I should have powder coated the rest of the intake pipes red too! That will be happening soon. The photo also shows the intake and output fittings for the oil cooler which will be tightened into their final position once the lines are installed.

Finally, the photo also gives you an idea what the side of the shroud will look like once it is ready to complete. It’s just hanging there with one screw installed for the photo. The aluminum valve covers are going to look much better.
