Brief Description:  Engine Shroud Install

Now that the engine is in place, I’m ready to start installing the engine shroud sides which will eventually guide the air circulation created by the large fan I’ve installed on the top of the engine.
Traditional airplanes have the advantage of having the engine in front of the aircraft and the air will enter the engine compartment without the need of a fan. Even without a fan, the air still needs to be directed around the engine for cooling with a shroud or cowling.

In my case, the sides are bolted to the base of the shroud that was installed with the engine transfer, and to various points around the engine as you can see in the photos.
