While my buddy Tommy was helping install the engine with me and Dawn, he commented that the red color I was using seemed to be really close to the color he was currently using on his personal motorcycle. He thought that if it was close, it might be cool to add some color to the engine by powder coating some parts such as the engine manifold, which is a distracting gold color that doesn’t match anything on the ship.
Tommy sent one of his brake levers to my office the next day with the help of his wife Corey who works for me. I took it home, being very careful not to lose or damage this important part, and as I laid it down on the red cabin floor, it simply disappeared! I immediately uninstalled the manifold and wrapped it up to deliver it to Tommy so he could bring it to his powder coating guy Jerry.
After only a few days, the manifold was back on the helicopter and it looks amazing! I think there are a few more things to powder coat in the future! Thanks Tommy and Jerry!!
