Carb heat box is now riveted and I made the internal diverter flap out of steel (hopefully not too heavy), and I used brass-bearing bushings for the shaft.
I then drilled and tapped the control lever so it can be secured to the flapper arm. Once I determine the best location for the lever, I will make a flat spot on the arm to help lock it in place with the setscrew.
This entire box will be painted red since it will be located at the base of the engine. It should look good, I think.
