This is a similar component to the carb heat box. It’s designed to mount on the back of the oil cooler and as the cooling fan forces air through the oil cooler into the hood, it can either exhaust out the top vent, or can be diverted down through the second port and directed to the cabin for cabin heating. I also installed a bilge fan that will draw the air from the hood and force it into the cabin vents.
I used the same flap and bearing system I used on the carb heat box.
