If you remember, the alternator that was sent with my kit came with a big crack in the case. Delane at Safari sent one right out to replace it, but she didn’t need me to send back the old one. As such, I was able to look at it on my desk and figure out the wiring without bending all over the place to ready the wiring positions upside down on the engine. The Safari schematic was clear about what to do, and I had clearly identified the wires months ago, so it was really just a matter of running the wires to the alternator from the cabin.
It sounds so simple to just connect a handful of wires, but the devil is in the details. The love comes in the path the wires take, how you route them around obstructions, what the bundle and covering look like, and of course how you stand them off the frame. There are also the finishing touches like installing boots over the lugs.
