As with the cyclic wiring, there is not much to show for my work, really. The key here was the preparation for the wiring run. My buddy Tom caught the fact that the collective hadn’t been drilled at the back for the harness, and if he hadn’t noticed, I don’t know what I would have done now that the cabin is riveted together.
I ran a clear vinyl tube through the collective arm and into the control box just past the throttle. I left it long enough out the back to make the bend and the landing on the frame of the ship. Other than that, it was just following the wiring diagram for the governor controls and starter.
The other control on the collective box was the Memory button. I assume that button is intended for the radio flop switch, but I’m not sure. Regardless of the intended use, I ran a wire to the button and grounded it so it would be ready to receive a use if I later determined one. I have already wired the radio frequency flop switch to the black button on the cyclic.
It was nice to get this wiring done and the box closed back up.
