Organization is critical for a shop, in my opinion. It gets trashed quickly enough once you are in the throws of the build, so you can’t start off with it being a wreck and feeling out of control.
I was putting up, stocking, and organizing shelves, buying more tools, collecting supplies, labeling drawers, especially since Tom and Lynn aren’t going to know where anything is.
There was also a ton of dirt and dust from the summer winds that were blowing through the cracks in the doors and wall, so you really didn’t want to touch anything without washing it.
The worst was the fact that the trailer looked like a teenager’s bedroom floor with all the crap that accumulated onto it over the past several months. I need to get this cleaned off ASAP because I need it to pick up the helicopter from the home shop.
Getting everything out of bags and into the toolbox and other shelves took a significant amount of time.
