Brief Description:  Engine, Tanks, and Hanger

The engine is now completed to the point that it is ready for the transfer into the engine compartment. There is obviously a lot of remaining items to do, but they need to be completed after the engine is in place. In addition, all of the nuts and/or bolts need to be wire tired.

As you can see, Delane at Safari sent all of the engine items that were missing or in need of replacement (alternator, misc nuts and blots, etc.). Thanks Delane!

My paint shop cleaned up some of the defects on the tanks, and painted them black.

I was going to go with polished tanks, but I wanted it to look a little more connected to the frame, which I think it does. They will be permanently installed much later in the construction process.

I also need to get ready for the movement of the helicopter from my garage shop to the hanger at the Tracy Airport. I had to build the work benches and shelves which took a lot longer than you would think it would.
