Brief Description:  Cabin Heat Cable Connection

As with the carb heat, I needed to complete the installation with the help of Tom’s new cable stop fitting screw. As before, I needed to first shorten the cable, then realign the routing to make the best possible path for the cable movement. It works very well and had a distinctive “clunk” in both positions. The cabin heat should work great, especially with the in-line blower I installed to force the air through the dedicated ducts and vents in the forward bulkhead. The defrosting of the bubble should be improved with the louvered vents.

The other Safari’s I’ve seen strictly dump heated air under the cabin floor compartment and the heat weeps out through gaps and holes in the helicopter. This older set up also allows heat up into the console and pod where the components are already running warm. I think my system will be better.
