Brief Description:  Naked Frame....Once Again

Well, all of the sheet metal has been removed and we are down to the bare frame once again. As I mentioned before, this is a tough thing to see because it feels like I am back a day #1. I have to keep remembering that there is a huge pile of formed sheet metal waiting to be reassembled sitting against the wall.

In the meantime, I will be drilling and installing between 60 and 80 nut plates throughout the frame. My goal is to go as quickly as I can without making the dumb mistake of installing a plate on the wrong side of a tab. This should be fun (NOT!). I installed the first one, shown in the photo below, so I am on my way!

Additionally, I have ordered everything I need from the West Systems product line to begin the faring of the instrument pod. There is a lot of work to do on it before it looks finished. I’ll be revisiting my boat maintenance and repair days again shortly.
