Brief Description:  Inboard rib prep

I still need to open up the #30 hole for the fuel fitting to 9/16”. I clecoed everything together and used the drill press with the step drill bit. Had to go at from both sides and even use a hand drill to finish because of interference between the drill chuck and the T-405 angle. They came out nice. I took both assemblies apart and deburred the holes.

The most outboard rib in each tank gets a simple plate doubler in nose area much like the inboard rib. I could not find any information on the plans for the number, location, or rivet size to attach these to the rib. I made something up similar to the inboard side. Probably overkill. I drilled #30 holes in one doubler and then match drilled the other. Clamped each to a rib and drilled the rib holes. Deburred the hole on each part.

Last thing I need to do is drill holes in the inboard ribs for the Fuel tank vent fitting and a likely return line for the fuel injection system (I haven’t figured that out yet). Plumbing and the details for the flop tube installation (anti hang up brackets and little “doors”) are still to go.
