Spent a little time today getting the elevators adjusted for welding the control horns to the ends. I made a 1/2in spacer for the elevator to stab gap and trimmed the elevator ends to this spec. According to others, the entire elevator spar should shrink 1/16th inch on each side after welding. That will give me the 7/16ths clearance per the plans on the end of the elevator.
