Brief Description:  Horizontal Stabilizer Mount Part 4

Well, after a good night’s sleep, I figured out a way the make the mount happen. Since I was fighting gravity all the time trying to get everything lined up, I thought if I inverted the fuselage and leveled it, I would have a perfect way to line everything up without tons of clamps and more uncertainty. Because I have the rotisserie, I was able to flip the fuselage 180 degrees and manipulate it so the aft station was level in both directions.

Once I had the centerline marked with a string, I had a perfect start. The mount tube has to be 1 1/8th inches centerline to longeron centerline and 5 inches from the tail post center. After doing some simple math, I figured if I had a 3/8ths spacer it would be perfect distance from the longeron and perfectly level the mount tube with the longerons. I put in the spacer and lined everything up and it was definitely the answer. Mean old Mr. Gravity was my friend! (Go to next entry for the finish)
