After deciding to start fresh, I took the time to clean the top of my jig table and laid out the entire stab as per the plans. The only change I'm making is using .049 wall tubing for the leading edge instead of the small piece of .049 scarfed to the .035 wall tubing as spec'd by Bob in the plans. This mod does have his approval. It adds some beef to the front where it will take abuse from rocks, etc but does add weight. Precisely .9584 pounds...just under one pound. It will be more than offset by the IO-540 in the nose.
