Started today by drilling out the rivets and removing the left wing flap brace. I'll need to countersink the bottom wing skin-to-brace holes and I can't do it when it's attached.
Next I drilled and bolted the 2 attach brackets to the left aileron (picture 1). Then I match drilled the left aileron brace to the wing spar and the upper wing skin, deburred both sides of each hole, and dimpled the skin holes and the brace-to-skin holes. Then I riveted everything together and it came out nice.
The white piece is the bracket that attaches the aileron to the wing.
