Brief Description:  Fwd R wing skin riveting

Fwd. WIng Skins. Placed the upper surface first of the forward wing skin. This went well with the nicely dimpled holes. However, I kept breaking rivet stems with the flush (CCP-42) rivets. I experimented with less air pressure and with more air pressure. I double checked the stroke length on my gun- it was appropriate. It is a royal pain when these stems break. To drill them out, you first need to grind off the stem so that the drill bit can ride in the center of the rivet.

I had been thinking that I wished I had decided to flush rivet the entire wing but now, after having so many broken stems, I am kinda glad I did not.

Once the upper surface was completed I had to use the compression straps again to get the skin to make the bend correctly. I'm getting pretty good with this.

I had even more broken stems with lower side; roughly, all-in-all, about 10.

Need to place the wing tip; later.
