So Sonex reports that my crack is not of significance. It is only the resin housing and does nothing. They advised not to seal it.
Installed stator. Had to put it in position then fight with the magnets to get the assembly in place. Ended up having to lightly sand some of the resin housing for interference; per instruction.
Installed my beautiful new SkyTech starter. Simple.
Drilled and tapped the oil temperature block off plate to accept my VDO temp sensor. It was not easy finding an appropriately sized metric tap.
