Brief Description:  Right wing panel #3 and #2

I prepped the next panel (#3) and drilled and clecoed it to the wing. Next I reinstalled panel #4. I worked the 5/8" overlap area. This is the area that I predrilled the wrong panel. I predrilled panel #4 in the area aft of the main spar when I should have drilled panel #3. I drilled the area forward of the main spar correctly.

For the overlap around the nose ribs you predrilled only the forward and rear hole of the panel on top of the overlap (#4 in this case). Once the panels are overlapped you move the rib out of the way and drill the top (forward) hole though the panels. Then you move the rib back into position and drill into the rib at the top and bottom (forward and rear). Then you complete the holes between them. I found that after match drilling the panels it helps to remove the clecos from the nose rib lower side and lift the panel to reposition the nose rib before drilling. It moves easier and you can verify that it is straight since you are drilling without a line reference.

For the overlap area aft of the main spar I kind of did it the same way as I did the nose rib. Where as you are supposed to pre-drill the bottom panel then back drill from the other side into the lower panel I drilled through the top panel into the lower panel and the rib at the same time. I clamped a straight edge on the center rib to keep it straight. As I was drilling I checked the trend to make sure that the holes were going through the center of the rib. After I took the panels off the holes were dead center to the remarked line, so it worked! Even though this worked just fine I think I'll do it the other way just to make sure it's going correctly.

Next I started working panel #2. I got it as far as top side drilled and clecoed and the bottom marked so I can remove it and pre-drill the bottom side. As on the left wing I'm marking, pre-drilling, drilling and clecoing the top of the wing first then mark and pre-drill the bottom.
