Brief Description:  Riveting skins!

"Finally the day arrived to start riveting skins! Jim came over to help. I needed to drill and debur the nut plates for the wing inboard trim strip so I was trying to quickly get that done before Jim arrived. I was just finishing up when he showed up.

I ordered some rivet tape from Vans and that works really well to hold the rivets in place and set several at a time. Most of the rivets are 3-3.5 at the skin to rib locations and 3-4 at the spar. Jims doing the bucking and I'm doing the driving. With Jims expertise it's going very well. After a while we got a pretty good rhythm going. We started on the nose ribs top side and riveted right down to include the main spar. Then we were getting ready to start the bottom side of the nose ribs when a ""family crisis"" came up and we had to call it a day. We plan to work on the skins some more next Wednesday."
