Today is the anniversary of my Bearhawk start date. It was 4 years ago that I started by cutting out the Mylar wing form and made the master form block. I certainly planned on being much further along than this at this point in time. It has given me reason to get motivated and get busy building again.
I have recently been going though all my build photos and logs to get my head back into it. One thing for sure is there is a lot of work that has gone into it so far. I now find myself unintentionally thinking about my next move and future processes though out every day. I guess a good sign that I've got my head back into it.
Today I finished deburring the ribs and spars. That finishes up all the deburring and dimpling on the right wing. Whew! I had to take hardware off and unbolt and move the ends to get to some dimples. So the wing is out of rig now.
Before dimpling I taped over all holes that would have nutplates so I didn't accidently dimple them. One thing I learned and remembered from the other wing is it's best to do all the dimpling before the fuel tanks are installed. The other wing I spent a lot of time removing the tanks just to get to some dimples.
