I cut the doublers out of .063 2024-T3 sheet. I used the measurement off the plans but when I placed them on the flap spar there was not enough edge clearance to where the pre drilled holes were so I had to cut new ones. Luckily I have plenty material. The new doublers I cut to 4-1/8" x 4-1/8". I then drilled and clecoed the doublers to the spar.
I clamped the spar to the table square to make sure everything lined up correctly. I reassembled the attach plates and ribs. I then drilled and clecoed the 2 center ribs.
