Now that all the parts are welded onto the flap support frame I welded the other end on. I did this with the support frame in the jig. Then I took it out of the jig and welded the tube end. Flap support frames are now done.
I temporarily fit the parts to the rear spar and noticed that the grease fittings are protruding from the bottom skin. I first thought that something was wrong but after questioning the eGroup my concern was quickly put to rest as Eric Newton pointed out that that was as it was supposed to be.
On another note: we hung the engine back on the Chief after the engine work. The Chief is ready to fly again after a long down time. This distraction could cut into my Bearhawk building time!
