Brief Description: Flap support frame and bearings
I welded the first end of the support frame while it was in the jig. I then started working on the bearings for the flap torque tubes. I cut the brackets out of 4130 sheet. I welded a nut on the bearing tube for a grease fitting. Then I did the weld attaching the bearing tube to the bracket. My first once wasn't to my liking. It burned material off the edge of the bracket piece so I cut some new brackets leaving a little more material on the edges. I'm still not happy with the results so everything I did today (except for the support end) will be practice parts.
