Brief Description: Aileron & flap support frame ends
I started bending my support frame ends and I realized I cut too much material off the sides at both ends so I cut some new blanks. I'm bending the ends as outlined in Eric's manual. I couldn't conveniently find any 3/4" steel bar for bending the parts so I picked up some 3/8" bar from the Tractor Supply and bolted 2 pieces together. Once the piece was clamped in the vice I used a hammer to pound the side over. I held a left over piece of cap strip material against the side to prevent "hammer heads" in the metal.
After I bent the 4 pieces of .062 material I cut and bent the smaller pieces out of .080 material. The thicker material was a little more work and probably about the limit using this method. It worked fine though.
I made a template and started drilling the holes for the attach point.
