I drilled the counter sunk holes for the wing attach filler plate. I clamped a wing attach fitting on the front side of both main spars and match drilled to the splice plate and filler plate. I marked the slot in the spar flange where the wing attach fitting protrudes through the spar. I then drilled the ends for a radius then cut the slot open with a Dremel tool. I mounted the bars to the spar to check the fit.
My progress on the Bearhawk is going to slow down for a bit. Santa gave Andrea a Great Planes CAP 232 RC model but he didn't get the RTF model. It's the full kit so I'm going to be dividing my time between the CAP and the Bearhawk for a while. Actually, if Andrea get's her way my time will favor the CAP until it's done. If today is an indication that will be the case.
