I made a pattern of the strut attach fittings from the full sized drawing. I then transferred to and cut out of a .190 sheet of 4130 N. I used the band saw to cut out then sanded one to final size on the belt sander. I had center punched the hole locations on the first piece so I drilled a 1/8" guide hole at these locations. I then clamped all 4 pieces together and drilled a matching 1/4" hole on one end then bolted them together. I did the same at the other end then to the other holes. I then sanded all 4 pieces while bolted together on the belt sander using the first one as a guide.
I was hoping to get more done today but it was one of those days that I seemed to spin my wheels especially with tools issues. I had hoped to get the attach fittings match drilled to the spars. Well at least the attach fittings are done.
