I decided to build a new table - actually, two tables. These are each 2' x 8'. They are modified EAA Chapter 1000 Standardized Work Tables. I can bolt them together sideways and have a 4' x 8' table or bolt them end to end and have a 2' x 16' table. I'll be using the 2x16 setup for the spar construction. The 4x8 setup will be used as a router cutting table. On one of the 8' factory edges I used a 2x3 for a overhang edge and glued a strip of 1/8 x 1/2" aluminum on the plywood edge as a straight edge router guide.
I also set up the 18" metal bending brake. I made all the modifications as outlined on the Bearhawk CD. I can confirm that these modifications are necessary but with the mods and after a few practice pieced I found it to be a very effective tool.
