Brief Description: Center rib flanging and remaining flanging and rou
As I continued to flange the lightening holes the large die for the 2 big holes seemed to become more ineffective and only flanging about 15 degrees which then required more bob stick work. I decided to make a new flanging die using the new design. The new die had more depth to it and a 45 degree beveled edge. The difference was very noticeable. With spring back the flange pressed out right at 30 degrees thus requiring only a little bob stick work to flatten the rib. I considered making the other two hole sized dies but with only 6 ribs to go decided to press on. If I were just starting again I'd make all 3/8 inch flange dies this new way.
All center ribs are done except for the stiffeners.
After the center ribs were done I started making the remaining router and flanging forms.
