Brief Description:  Deburr and flange nose rib lightening holes

Deburred nose rib lightening holes. -- I'm experimenting to see what works best. I'm not getting enough of a deflection with just pressing the die so it looks like using the die and the bob stick is going to be the technique I'll use. I'm experimenting to see how to best flatten the rib back out after flanging. There's several different techniques offered by others and I tried them all.

For my bob stick I followed the advise of Keith Salisbury (www.bearhawk949.com) who said, "Builder, go thee forth and purchase thee some delrin for thine bob-stick" and found it to be very good advise (maybe even divine). The delrin worked very well. I couldn't find it locally so I bought some from Wicks. I used 1 inch round stock and squared up the end and cut a 3/8 inch slot.

I highly recommend this material for the bob stick. No splitting as some have had with a wood bob stick, but I did have to occasionally trim off a little off the end as the aluminum edge wore the slot down a little deeper that the flange.

Andrea is working on sanding the lightening holes. She's a great help and fun to have hanging out with.
