Finished mounting the horizontal stabilizer and started on the vertical.
I reached a decision on the forward spar mount position and selected a location that sort of split the differences. The tips are almost 1/4" out of true perpendicular to the fuselage centerline, but the center mount section is nicely centered and the whole thing fits together well. Within tolerance, so I'm good.
Fabbricated the "up elevator" stop which also serves as an additional attach point for the rear spar of the vertical stabilizer.
Tomorrow I'll drill the attach holes for the vert stab rear spar, fabricate the front spar mounting parts and be finished with the vertical stab.
From there, I'll be mounting the elevators, fabricating the two elevator push/pull tubes and install them, trim the up and down elevator stops and mount the rudder. Tail wheel assembly comes next and at that point I'll be able to sit in the cockpit and operate the elevator and rudder controls and see something move!
It's easy to get way ahead of this build in my mind!
