Bending the tabs at the cutout for the trim tabs proved to be quite a pain.
Having fabricated wood wedges and anchoring them per Van's instructions, I found that the wedges kept slipping and I really boogered up the tab bends. Crushed the trailing edge together a bit more at that location as well.
After a couple of failed fixes, I cut the tabs off and spent hours figuring out how to form a little riblet to fit in the end. Learned the trick on Vansairforce.net. Fantastic resource. Obviously I'm not the only one who's struggled with this part.
The skin is still a little messed up, but I think it can be filled a little with fiber glass and micro balloons. Maybe? I have more research to do in this area.
