Brief Description:  Fixed Hinge pins on elevator

Determined the the two inner pins that I installed on the elevator were reversed. The right inner pin (when looking from the bottom. Is the pin that needs the nut to lock it in position. This pin mount is lined up so that the elevator is even on both sides of the stab. The left pin mount is intentionally moved over about an 1/8 of an inch so that it doesn't have to line up. I put the locking bolt in this pin and the free floating pin in the right pin mount not realizing this. So when I tried to put the bolt on, it only threaded on a few turns. The free floating pin was pressed in so it was difficult to remove but I managed to tap it out with the nut threaded on using a small hammer. I reversed the two pins. Bolted them back on using locktite 243. The free floating pin was even tigher in this pin mount so I don't think I will be able to get it out again. I lubed up the elevator pins and pin holes, put the elevator on and then put on the elevator locking bolt using locktite 243. Tightened it until I felt resistance moving the elevator, than backed off 1/4-1/2 turn until the elevator move freely thougout its motion.
