Panel is set back to builders preference, but some steam gyro's spec 0 or 7 degree tilt.
Top of doors are level in flight. Little trig was used as I didn't want to buy a Home Depot $100 angle finder. Simple framing square was used to give the upright reference.
Also a little trig (24" level) with a 5.35" rise confirms the plane is sitting at a 12.5 degree angle. That is with respect to the fuselage. Not sure on wings angle of attack (not the same as the fuselage)
With the instrument panel being 9.5" tall, a 7 degree set back means the top tilts in 1.150" inch at the top. About 0.120" on the scrap paper, which was 'mental math'
