Stringers. To get cheap shipping from ACS, stringers were cut to 8' length. Trick is to "put them back together". Some scrap 1/4" plate is cut in 1/2" strips. Yes, with a carbide chop saw... not too fast (chips teeth) no too slow (melt aluminum, which gums up). File edges to slip into the stringers. Bolt or rivet together. Note even if 12' lengths were shipped, you need a few 14 long!
