Brief Description: Final leading edge rolling of left elevator
I did the flange pre-fold again on this on to try to get a nice flat fit on the edge once it was riveted in place. Still, this was a hard fit to get it totally flat when riveted. It seems to need an accurate bend as well as just enough ovebending of the flange to get a tight fit. I got it pretty close, but not perfectly flat. It all holds together well anyway despite a few slight bulges. I just keep telling myself this won't be seen, but the rounded curve will be. Looks pretty good on that part at least! Moving on, and glad this is done.
A little pre-bend just a few degree bend, and just up to the factory drilled holes.
Testing the fit. It needs just a bit more bending for a good tight seam.
Leading edge done and riveted. Not bad, and I'm glad this part is done!
