Brief Description:  Trimming the right side elevator counterweight.

This was another one of those highly discussed procedures on the internet builder forums that got me a little concerned since a lot of guys make a big deal about this. It turned out to be yet another one of those "what's the big deal about that?" things!
I clamped the weight in my vise and simply started cutting away with the hacksaws. I think I may have taken about 10 minutes to do the horizontal and vetical cuts so they met in the middle and the chunk could come out. I used the large vixen file to round out the corner and smooth out the saw marks on the new flat surface. Easy, nothing too it. Maybe the other guys used dull blades? But I don't think mine was the sharpest saw in the box either.
Anyway, I'm keeping the scrap just in case I need to add weight later.
