Brief Description: RTV on the trailing edge and counterweight marking
The RTV arrvied in the mail, so I squirted that stuff inside the skin of the trailing edge fold where the stiffeners come togther. This is supposed to dampen out vibration and prevent cracks around the end rivets. I have seen cracks on other planes in the end of elevators that I have inspected closely. Hopefully this will prevent that.
I then carefully marked and measured the right side counterweight for cutting. Then spent some time reading other builder sites how to cut this.
We used the red RTV down in the grooves.
Marked the counterweight to easily see what needs to be cut off.
