Brief Description: Rudder top and bottom rib riveting.
No plane work done the day before, I was busy flying most of the day doing some flight training with the club! The manual said that 7/64 sized rivets could go in the tight places on the ends of the ribs if the standard rivets couldn't fit due to bucking bar lack of space. I enlarged the holes a little to 7/64ths inch (the #35 bit works for this) then drilled holes. I put 2 on the rear top of the rudder (as noted in the manual) and one in the end of the bottom rib. I also used a couple in the rudder wedge since I just couldn't get the buck bar to work on the front and rear rivets for that part.
Blind rivets to the rescue for those tight areas.
the middle rivets were ok with the buck bar. Blind for the others.
